Pool Hours (These pool hours will take effect starting August 15th and will go until Labor Day, September 4th)

Wednesdays 2:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Fridays 2:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Saturdays 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.

Sundays 11:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m.*

Swimming Lessons

MLCC will be offering three sessions for swim lessons. Sessions will be Mondays thru Thursdays (Fridays if weather forces postponement). Sessions will last 45 minutes. Session 1 will be held in the evenings (5pm, 6pm, and 7pm - depending on age and ability) and run May 31-June 3 / June 6-June 9 (due to Memorial Day being on Monday). Session 2 will be held in the mornings (9am, 10am, and 11am - depending on age and ability) and run June 20-June 23 / June 27-June30. Session 3 will be held in the mornings (9am, 10am, and 11am - depending on age and ability) and run July 11-July 14 / July 18-July 21.  Cost will be $65 for members, $90 for non-members. Pool Season & General Information

Maple Lane Country Club Elmwood, IL Swimming Pool Rules 

1. Hours of Operation

a. The pool will open the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend and will be closed on Monday of Labor Day weekend, annually.

b. The pool will be open at 11:00 am and will close at 8:00 pm daily. Alternate hours will be set when school resumes in August.

c. Early morning lap swim will be from 5:30 a.m.-7:30 a.m. This is restricted to members over the age of 18. There will not be a lifeguard on duty during these hours.

d. The pool will not open on days when the temperature is below 70 degrees Fahrenheit. The pool manager may close the pool at his/her discretion.

e. There will be a 10 minute break for adult swim at 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. each day.

2. Pool Rules and Conduct

a. The swimming pool committee alone has the right to make, post, and enforce pool rules and regulation, opening and closing pool for the season, and regulating the pool operating hours.

b. The Swimming Pool Rules and Regulations of the State of Illinois Department of Public Health and the American Red Cross shall govern and shall be considered a part of these rules and regulations. They will be posted in conspicuous places.

c. No food or beverages are allowed in the large pool or baby pool areas.

d. Glass of any kind is prohibited.

e. Alcoholic beverages are allowed; they must be purchased at the bar or pro shop in the clubhouse.

f. Play articles shall be constructed of soft materials, or plastics, not metal. The pool manager shall have the discretion to restrict the use of play articles.

g. Only authorized personnel shall be permitted behind the cashier’s counter.

h. Appropriate swimwear is encouraged. No cut offs (jeans or other trousers) permitted in the pool.

i. Children who are not potty trained must wear swim diapers.

j. The swimming pool committee reserves the right to suspend or revoke the privileges of any member for conduct in violation of the foregoing rules and regulations. There will be one verbal warning and after the second warning the member or guest will lose their pool privileges for one week. The pool manager or lifeguard in charge may also refuse admittance to the pool area, if in their opinion; the presence of such a person impairs the safe or sanitary operation of the swimming pool.

3. Use of the Pool.

a. The use of the swimming pool during regularly scheduled hours shall be restricted to club members only and their qualified guests. All club members and their qualified guests are required to register before entering the pool.

b. Guest fee is $5.00 per day for guests over 24 months old. Guests may use the pool up to seven (7) times per summer.  Any guest who leaves and returns the same day will not be charged an additional fee.

c. Sponsoring member MUST ACCOMPANY their guests at the pool at all times.

d. Children under the age of 12 must be supervised by a parent or designated babysitter who is 13 years of age or older.

e. A mandatory swim test will be required of all children to swim in the deep end. They will be required to swim the width of the pool, across and back, without assistance or stopping.

f. Members with long-term houseguests may request a waiver from the pool co-chairs to adjust the number of visits and/or fees. Forms will be available at the pool’s entrance.

g. Caregivers:

i. Members have the option of buying a Nonmember Babysitter Pool Pass for $80.00. The fee for the pass is nonrefundable. The fee applies only if the babysitter is swimming, and the fee covers only the babysitter. Please contact the pool manager if interested in purchasing this pass.

ii. Nonmember, full time babysitters, over the age of 13, may bring member’s children as many times as desired. Those choosing not to get a Babysitter Pool Pass will be charged the $5.00 guest fee with each visit.

iii. Club members, who are babysitting relatives, long term, nonmembers, must fill out a waiver. If the waiver is approved by pool co-chairs, the non-member, relatives will be able to swim for free. Waiver is available at the pool’s entrance.

iv. Grandparents may bring their grandchildren, under the age of 18, to the pool up to 10 times without paying a fee. Any other family members who are guests will be charged the daily guest fee. This is separate from the rule above.

4. Pool Parties

a. Parties scheduled during regular hours that are expecting 10+ swimmers, must schedule this event with the manager 7 days in advance. Parties expecting fewer than 10 guests are recommended to schedule this event with the manager. A $25 fee or guest fees (whichever is greater) will be charged for pool parties. This will reserve the picnic area seating and pay for additional lifeguards. Please contact pool manager to schedule your party. Parties are subject to approval by pool manager.

b. After hour parties, must be scheduled at least 7 days in advance and end by 11:00. There will be an extra charge of $20 / hour (Minimum 2 hours) for every 2 lifeguards present. (1 guard for every 25 swimmers. Minimum of 2 guards will be needed)

My name is Maci Marincic. I began working as a lifeguard at the MLCC this summer. I am 15 years old. I live in Hanna City and attend Elmwood High School. There, I participate in Volleyball and Poms. My favorite thing about MLCC is how friendly all members are!

 

 

Hi! My name is Greta Inskeep! This is my fifth year lifeguarding and instructing swim lessons here at MLCC pool! I will be going into my junior year at Elmhurst University this fall as well as participating on the university’s cross country and track teams while studying Early Childhood Education! I love coming to work at MLCC pool each day with my wonderful coworkers and seeing all of the kids I teach swim lessons to! Here’s to a great summer! Happy swimming!!!!

 

Hi! My name is Abi Davis and this will be my fourth summer working as a lifeguard and my third as a swim lesson instructor! I have grown up in Elmwood but currently I’m a sophomore at a college in Florida and study marine science. So I love all things water! I can’t wait for a fun filled summer of swimming! 

 

My name is Addie Webster and this will be my 3rd year as a lifeguard and 2nd year teaching swim lessons. I have always lived in Elmwood and love summers spent at the pool! I just graduated Elmwood High School and in the fall, I will be attending Bradley University to study Nursing. I’m so excited to be back for another summer of fun and swim lessons!!! 

 

 Hi! My name is Maddie Conklin and this will be my second year as a lifeguard at Maple Lane! In the fall, I’m going to be a senior at Elmwood High School. I can’t wait spend my summer at MLCC again!

Hi! My name is Claire Colgan. I am going to be a junior at Elmwood High School. I enjoy doing Poms and Spirit Squad during the school year. I also enjoy hanging out with my friends and family in my free time!

 

 My name is Isabelle Davis. I am a junior at Elmwood High School. I am in dance and cheer and enjoy hanging out with my friends!

  

My name is Marra Seibert. I am a senior at Elmwood. I love hanging out with friends and playing softball. My goal is to attend University of Iowa to study neonatal nursing!
